Ok, ok. I am not a regular-type blog poster. This time I don't even have any photos of any projects that I am working on. Since knitting is so new to me .. I bought a really nice stash of yarn last week from Hobby Lobby and am planning on making a Classic Elite Seeded Cable Cardigan for my mom with that yarn. Now yesterday, I visited my local yarn shoppe (lys) and it has a bounty of beautiful, heavenly soft yarns that can be dreadfully expenses. As in $12 for a 3 oz. little ball. Eek! Right now I will be sticking to scarves. I purchased two balls of nashua yarn yesterday (not so bad, $9 ea instead of the $12 kind) and plan on making my SIL a scarf for Christmas. It is a 75% wool 25% alpaca fibers .. and so it is the softest yarn that I have ever purchased! I was hoping to find some malobrigio since the knitters over at knittinghelp.com rave about it so much .. and I found some chunky .. but not regular yarn. Perhaps I missed it, being in a yarn euphoria stupor. The scarf I will attempt to create is called Achernar. It looks complicated and is probably way over my head, but I've gotta try. I will be doing a Celtic Cable Scarf, for me brother, since he is mr. scotland and a Harry Potter scarf for my nephew.
I have a lot to get done by Christmas. I wish I didn't have to work full time. Anyone wanna cover me job for me whilst I knit at home and collect the good ol' paycheck?????? Please????
